Today I am Grateful.

I am grateful for the Lord being such a great teacher. He truly has taught me so many important life lessons this past month. I go through stages in my life when I feel like a wonder woman. I feel like I am unstoppable and that I know what’s best for me.  I think that I have life all figured out. In those moments, I am so grateful for the Lord humbling me. I have learned so much about what the Lords plan is all about. My plan isn’t always what is best for me. I know he looks at me and just laughs. He’s thinking if only she knew what I really have in store for her.

Today I am grateful for my Patriarchal Blessing. This week, the love of my life decided that he no longer wanted to be engaged and so I ended the relationship. It has been very heart breaking and a very sad experience. Today I read my Patriarchal Blessing and when I read…

“Sister Vallem your Heavenly Father has a very important mission for you to fulfill in this life and very important work for you to do...”

I read that and just cried. Times like this when you feel hopeless and you then read something like that, you remember your importance to the Lord. It means so much more to you then what your importance may be to somebody else.

Today I am very grateful for my best friend Bryn and my Mom. I could not ask for better women in my life. They have helped me get through some really hard days. I am very grateful for girl nights that consist of junk food, sappy love movies and late night chats. The Lord blessed me with great friends and an amazing Mom.

Today I am very grateful for the Atonement. I have learned so much about the Atonement and Heavenly Fathers love for me in the past year. It is crazy! The Atonement has made an amazing positive change in life and I will be forever grateful for the sacrifice the Lord made me for.

Today I am grateful for Missionary experiences. Today I watched a friend of mine get baptized. It was so special and the spirit was so strong. I am so happy for her and taking the amazing new step in her life. Many new doors will now be open to her! It’s amazing.

I could go on and on with all that I am grateful for… the Lord has truly blessed me with so much. I couldn’t ask for a better life. I am happy and I know that life will only get better from here on out.
